Frequently Asked Questions

I'm having trouble finding an album. Why is it not showing up?
If you are looking at the main page with the albums in thumbnail view, you can click on All My Photos, across the top or you can click Show More near the bottom right-hand corner. If you still don't see your album, it may not be posted yet.

What is the best way to view the photos within albums?
Once you have entered your password and gained access to your album, you can click on each photo for a larger view. There is also a Slideshow option that we recommend, in the top right-hand corner of the page and you can use the arrow keys to scroll through the photos. This enables you to see the photos in a more enlarged view.

What are some of the most standard print sizes for framing?
4x6, 5x7, 8x10, 10x13, 11x14, 16x20

Why are my photos being cropped?
This is due to the aspect ratio of digital cameras. The photos straight out of the camera are in 4x6 ratio. When certain print sizes outside of that ratio are desired, cropping will occur. In the ordering process, you have the option to center the crop, fit the crop (in which white spaces will fill the vacant areas) or crop the photo manually to your preference. A preview of what they will look like will be shown in your cart before the order has been completed. Be sure to look carefully and if something important is being left out of the photo, you can click on the thumbnail to adjust the cropping.

Also, after the Buy button has been clicked to see what options are available, once you are in the Prints category, the very first section is called Best Fit. Those are the print sizes that won't need cropping--most times, those will be 4x6, 6x9, 8x12, 10x15, 12x18, 16x24, 20x30, 24x36, and 30x45.

How do I add items to my shopping cart?
-Navigate to a photo or the photos that you would like to purchase. Select them if you are in a Gallery by checking the select box in the corner of the thumbnail.
-Move your mouse over the Buy button at the top of the page and choose New Product. A pop-up window will open prompting you to choose which category of photo product you would like to order from.
-Select the category you are interested in purchasing items from.
-Choose the items you would like to purchase. Select the quantity and other options specific to the item.
-Select Preview and Configure if you want to prepare your item with more specifics.
-Select View Shopping Cart if you would like to review all your purchases.
-Select Buy More Products with Selected Photos if you are interested in purchasing more items using the photos you currently have selected.
-Select Checkout Now if you are satisfied with your selections and want to go directly to the shopping cart and finalize your order.

Can my family and friends order prints/products from my album(s) on www.medfordimages.zenfolio.com?

Can I add prints/products to my order from another album?
Yes, you can add items to your cart from multiple albums, as long as you have the password/access to the album.

I would like to know more about the prints offered.
Our prints are processed in a professional photo lab on various types of high quality photographic paper, all of which lasts 100-200+ years, with proper care. The company we use has proven itself to be exceptional time and time again. The colors are impeccable, the photographic paper is superb, and the overall quality is outstanding. Also, we bought our computer monitor with photo editing in mind, so it is advanced in those areas and we have spent time carefully calibrating the colors on our monitor to match the colors of the actual prints that come back from the professional photo lab that we use. Processing usually takes 24-48 hours and most clients get their prints in 3-4 business days or less. Below are the types of photographic papers that we offer at this time, along with their descriptions.

E-surface: a matte finish photographic paper that has accurate color, realistic saturation, excellent neutral flesh reproduction, and greater intensity. E-surface is the most standard photo paper that we offer.

True Black & White: a matte finish photographic paper that is panchromatic and resin-coated. It is designed to make rich black, continuous-tone prints, while avoiding color tints.

Metallic: a pearlescent finish photographic paper that uses a patented combination of film and laminate layers resulting in striking three-dimensional images. It produces ultra-bright backgrounds and has resistance to tearing and curling. This is our best-selling photo paper.

Certain types of finishes can also be added to the photographic papers for an additional fee. Below, are the finishes and their descriptions.

Linen: adds a subtle linen texture, which allows the image quality to remain high, while adding additional protection.

Lustre: protects against fingerprints, UV exposure, and common over-spraying found in home and office environment. The rich, enhanced sheen shields photographs from the elements without interfering with the image.

We have samples of the different types of photo paper that we can show you in person, if desired.
